While on his way home from work, Marion County Deputy Jeremie Nix stopped when a car was pulled over with it’s flashers on.

Deputy Nix had his dashcam running (as we think they should always be) when it captured him confront a passenger who had exited the vehicle and was holding a baby.

He realized the mother was desperately seeking help for her child, who was not breathing and immediately tried CPR on the child.  When his efforts did not work right away, this quick-thinking cop knew what to do – there was a hospital less than a mile away so he rushed 3-month old Baby Kingston to the ER and got him to doctor’s who were able to revive him.

We believe that all police cars should have dashcams and they should always be recording.  This prevents people being from having false testimony used against them and also let’s public employees be held accountable (as well as rewarded) when necessary.
